The Catamount House is one of the few homes in the exclusive, Granite Ridge residential area that is available for vacation rental. This luxurious 5-bedroom/5.5-bath home is a skier’s dream. Not only can you stay in an incredible accommodation, but you are also just minutes to the slopes with easy access to the Granite Ridge surface lift. A groomed trail makes the Catamount House ski-in accessible.
This two-level, 5,000 square foot home was built in 2000 with all high end finishes and warm personal touches. The first floor offers a spacious entryway from the two-car garage. A large full bath with a steam shower is located in the immediate hallway. The first two bedrooms each with a set of bunks plus one twin and a second full bath are also on this level and are conveniently located near a well equipped game room (air hockey, foosball and bubble hockey) and a media center with a 35” television/VCR and stereo. The 3rd bedroom (twins or king) and adjacent full bath are located on the other side of the media room, with the hall continuing to the main, front door entrance of the house.
The front stairway leads guests directly up to a dramatic living room offering wooded mountain views both directions. Beautiful log trusses and a cathedral ceiling combined with extraordinary furnishings make this room a joy to spend time in. A small game table offers the relaxation of chess or checkers after your big hike or ski day. Color television/VCR & stereo system are all available here. A floor to ceiling, double sided, river rock fireplace separates the great room from the dining room. The dining table will easily seat 10, and is adjacent to a cozy sunroom as well as the gourmet kitchen. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped to include a 5 burner, gas cook top, Sub Zero refrigerator, granite countertops and custom cabinetry. The back deck from the kitchen includes the private hot tub and gas barbecue grill with dramatic mountain views.
The fourth bedroom is on this level and acts as a junior master suite with a king bed and en suite bath. The master suite, offering a king bed, en suite bath, 25” color television and private deck space is just beyond the kitchen and close to the 2nd stairway leading down to the garage entryway. A large laundry room located on this level is available for guest convenience.
During winter or summer, the location of this spectacular home offers complete privacy, yet close proximity to year-round mountain recreation.
